The KoSea is a recently renovated hotel complex on the seafront in the heart of the city of Kos.
Created by the functional integration of three existing hotel buildings KoSea aims to become a cosy city hotel which can accommodate guests all year round and reflect the vibrance of a busy island culture.
The authenticity of the design derives from the use of the local culture and architecture as a source of inspiration, while modern influences define the details of the decor. Arches, geometrical patterns, and earthy tones are used as re-interpretation of local tradition into new interior elements, while neutral off-white colour unify the upper façade volumes.
Creative colour use and new pergolas mark the Bar and the Restaurant on the ground floor. Four successive arches highlight the entranceto to the lobby where earthy tones and local influences prevail.
The guest rooms were redesigned on a new minimal modern concept, unifying the space with open sink arrangements, walk-in showers, wide mirrors and light colours on walls, furniture, and upholstery.
