Maestral Resort and Casino is located in Montenegro, in the bay of Przno between Budva and Sveti Stefan, a place of great natural beauty. It is a large complex consisting of 230 guest rooms and apartments, a fully equipped spa and wellness center, restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as a casino.

The existing building, constructed using pre-cast concrete elements and red brick, was in a poor state of repair in need of extensive refurbishment in order to be upgraded from a four to a five-star hotel. In addition we had to design the new extension of a VIP Casino space, update all MEP installations as well the external envelope, to the extent that it was possible. 

The new design aims to give a contemporary feel with the added discreet luxury and relaxed, pleasant, atmosphere of a seaside resort.The addition of the new VIP Casino space was designed in keeping with the basic geometry of the building. Vertical wood-facing louvres unify the existing and new structures, provide protection from the setting sun and at the same time allow views of the sea in the casino area.
